News: June 2008

Not much to say this month other than NTM UK has started working on a track for a Lyricist from London She has some very original ideas that are going to be a little musically challenging but I'm sure the final presentation will yield high interest. Additional to these activities Elite has been recording with New Time Music and has finished his latest's offering. The current studio title to his latest offering is Kinetic; although he has voiced his desire to rethink this title. Elite has promised to submit some previews for site visitor before the month is out so keep tuned. Until the next update all the best New Time Music team.

The New Time Music YouTube collection is growing by the week, latest editions include Quasimidi Quasar Sessions; four tracks are available at the time of writing.

The site (if this is your first visit) has just undergone some major development. The most important of these is the shedding of tables as a way of presentation in favor of css2. This should now give everyone regardless of their browser a more pleasant experience. Although most people upgrade their browsers regally it is advised that version 5 or above of the popular browsers should be used.

The mastering processes (that have taken close to six months to complete) are now coming to an end with all production being made available shortly. Teli-visioned is just one of those productions available to preview.

Since the Quasar sessions at the beginning of the year the only other work that has taken place is the re-mastering of the album 'Don't Hold Back'. The title piece to that album can be previewed below with other previews being made available when ready.

Anyone having looked in the audio section of the site will be aware of the availability of mp3 previews from the days when I owned a Quasimidi Quasar. Well after over 9 years of not owning one, I have through the powers of E-Bay, acquired another for production. Such was the excitement that I choose to celebrate the arrival with a specially written track using only the Quasar as sound source. The track titled "Return of the Quasar" is available to stream, in full (10min 30sec) from the dedicated Quasar section of the site. This has subsequently been re-arranged with additional sounds added/created from other machines at the NTMUSIC studio into what has become an original production in its own-right.

The second personal project that I have undertaken is a spin-off from the Quasar Sessions; using Quasimidi's much raved about Sirius. Again a track has been created only using the one machine as sound source (in this case the Sirius), with an additional re-arrangement being created in the same manner as the Return of the Quasar production.

Well it's been over six months since a site update was last completed; this has been mainly down to commitments and the production of NTM UK new album and working with NTMusic newest artist Elite.As usual there will be several exclusive remixes for free download with the final album being available from this site in the very near future.There are also plans in the pipeline for a mini tour in 2007 with supporting DJ's & Artists. No dates have been set in stone as of yet, so be sure to check NTMusic.org.uk for more information regarding these events.

Additional to this are the planned re-releases of the NTM UK collection in a new highly re-mastered format. The first of these releases will be the 2002 release of Singled Out followed by Don't Hold Back (The Music) . One last bit of news is the remix by NTM UK of the Australian artist SonicStar, This mix (free) was created after a request from SonicStar, and is titled Day Becomes Night (Neil B Mix aka NTM UK) this remix can be freely downloaded from www.mp3.com.au/sonicstar
