Searching for Love
Title
Searching for Love juxtaposes electronic dance and electronica with pure orchestral; and a title that is derived from the vocals used melodically throughout. Although only one mix is finalized at the time of the portfolio a total of 8 mixes of Searching for Love have been prepared for this piece; expanding the element of the concept as far as possible. Searching for Love uses three instruments extensively throughout the composition process, these include Propellerheads Reason 2 and Native Instruments Pro-53 and FM-7. Reason 2 is responsible for all of the percussion using the native ReDrum and DrRex, while a single SubTracktor patch is used in conjunction with the Pro-53 and FM-7.
