Track Information
Kinetic (Album Version)
This original piece introduces what are the fundamental elements of the track. Melody and percussion drive the piece forward with a clear and distinctive bassline. The overall feel of this piece can be best described as euro-pop/radio.
Kinetic (Elite Energy Mix)
The Energy Mix takes the main elements of the Radio Mix and extends and manipulates on the concepts laid down by each individual part in the Album version. New elements are recognizable from the offset with a grittier bass now accompanying the original bassline; at times this new approach can be heard separately with the original bass omitted. Unlike the Album version this mix takes an overall feel of a dance/club piece using crescendos to create euphoric moments although these are intended to be interpreted as teasers eventually leading to an arrangement that aims to reach a sonic climax.
Kinetic (New York Single Mix)
With the original Album Version aiming itself at a more euro styled listener the New York Mix aims to be grittier and club orientated. New elements are added while the changing of timbres and the approach in which they are disposed within the mix help create a solid club orientated version of the piece. The changing of timbres also makes it easier to sonically achieve euphoric styled crescendos. From a listeners perspective its hands in the air time and time to go crazy (musically).
Kinetic (New York Single Mix)
Taking the bass line that originally appears in the Energy Mix the New York Mix uses the percussion and arpeggiations to build and drive the piece forward. Experimentation with percussion can be easily distinguished with the most notable of these being the use of a wooden block. Of all the mixes this one aims to be the most DJ friendly leaving openings that within the context of the mix lead to developments of the song but could easily be collaborated with other similar pieces.
